Based on detailed Hazard, Risk, Vulnerability, and Capacity Analysis of districts, DDMPs have been prepared by CDM, HIPA . The salient features of the plan are-
1. The Incident Response System (IRS)- IRS at district level identifies and designates officers to perform various duties and get them trained in their respective roles; thus reducing chaos and confusion during the response phase. It also includes proper documentation of various activities for better planning, accountability and analysis which also helps new/ outside responders to immediately get a comprehensive picture of the situation and go in for immediate action. It is an essential tool for better coordination within different responding departments and agencies.
2. The plan covers all phases of Disaster Management right from prevention to recovery. It also talks about various schemes and project running in district that could be used for prevention, mitigation, response, rehabilitation and recovery. It enlists preparedness checklist for various departments to ensure and promote a culture of preparedness within the State of Haryana.
District Disaster Management Plans(DDMP)
